A solar air collector can be used in a cold local heating network to regenerate and fill an ice storage tank. The absorber captures ambient heat from solar radiation, outside air and precipitation and transfers it to the ice storage tank. This ensures a continuous supply of thermal energy to the ice storage system, which can later be utilised via heat pumps for heating and domestic hot water.
Environmental heat collectors can be used particularly efficiently in anergetic networks because even low temperature levels are sufficient to regenerate our ice storage tanks. In this way, the hot air absorber supports the seasonal utilisation of environmental heat, increases the amount of energy available in the ice storage system and contributes to the stable operation of a cold local heating network.
air.FLOW - Modern Regenerative Air Collector
Modern Absorber Technology Made in Germany
Modularly arranged capillary tube mats provide a very large heat exchange surface area. This allows a higher percentage of heat to be extracted from the air compared to conventional air absorbers.
Diagram on the right: Air flows through the sp.ICE Airflow, thereby capturing the warm ambient air (1). Stacked high-performance capillary tube mats provide a large heat transfer surface area (2). The captured thermal energy is extracted and used for the thermal regeneration of the ice storage tank (3).
