Innovative and efficient cooling for milk production and dairy industry products
Ice storage technology offers the diary industry a sustainable way to improve operational efficiency and reduce cooling costs.
For example, ice storage systems can quickly cool milk to required temperatures, preventing bacterial growth and preserving product quality. Dairy farms in areas with unstable power supply can benefit greatly from ice storage systems, as the stored ice can continue to cool the milk for a long time even during power outages, ensuring continuous operation. The modular design and scalability also make the ice storage economically attractive for small family farms.
By investing in innovative cold storage systems, dairy farms of all sizes can not only increase productivity and save on energy costs, but also reduce their carbon footprint and become more climate-neutral. The use of thermal ice storage is a strategic step towards sustainable and cost-efficient dairy farming, while ensuring the quality and freshness of dairy products.
sp.ICE - Dynamic ice storage for fast cooling processes
Two features make the sp.ICE ice storage tank particularly interesting for use in the dairy industry. Its heat exchanger with capillary tube technology ensures highly dynamic charging and discharging. The storage can be fully charged in just 6 hours and then release the stored cold on demand, making it ideal for covering cooling peak loads or for use as an emergency cooler.
The sp.ICE is also modular and can be tailored to the size of the diary plant. Our standard 1.1 MWh, 2.4 MWh and 5 MWh modules can be combined as desired to achieve the required cooling capacity.
The sp.ICE is available either as a container solution that can be easily integrated into the structural conditions above or below ground, or it can be installed in existing basins or tanks.
Our engineers are experienced in developing integration concepts for the dairy industry and can assist in finding the most suitable refrigeration solution.
